The workers of the giant Chilean miner CODELCO, which according to the Government will allow the Ecuador to carry out a responsible long-term mining, faces a strike of workers in Chile (29,000 workers in the state and private mining sectors of Chile) tomorrow Tuesday, April 9.
‘Codelco’s workers demand – among other things – improvements in their pensions, to maintain the health system in the State sector and greater job stability, particularly for contract workers, who receive on average wages 70% below those of staff.’
